How does ProxDeal find add-on targets for a buy-and-build strategy?
You describe your thesis in natural language. More than 1,000 AI analysts then review the websites, register data, financials and press coverage of every DACH company in parallel and prioritise the results by match score. Alternatively, you can run a classic database search.
Are the targets already in a sale process?
ProxDeal is an independent research tool for off-market sourcing, not a deal-matching platform. ProxDeal receives no success fees and has no stake in any transaction.
Where does the targets' financial data come from?
From published annual financial statements as the primary source, supplemented by statistically modelled estimates where there is no disclosure requirement. ProxDeal does not buy data from third parties; it collects register, financial and web data itself.
Are small GmbHs without published revenue figures covered too?
Yes. Under the German Commercial Code (HGB), small incorporated companies often publish only abridged financial statements that omit revenue. ProxDeal shows the primary data that is available and fills in missing metrics with statistically modelled estimates, kept clearly separate from the reported figures.
Can I export data and longlists?
Yes, without limits. The online table is exported one-to-one as XLSX or CSV, with more than 100 parameters per company. For every result, you also get a complete company profile as a PDF, including financials and shareholders.
Can anyone see which targets we are looking for?
No. Search queries are processed anonymously: nobody can trace which thesis you are pursuing or which of your mandates is planning an exit. Processing is GDPR-compliant and takes place in EU data centres in Frankfurt.
